All students are asked to submit a Portfolio of Tasting Notes (PTN) by April 15th, 2008
International Wine Center asks that students submit a Portfolio of Tasting Notes for comment and feedback purposes. The notes must be handwritten or they will not be accepted.
1. Students may use any wine they have tasted as long as it is a light wine of the world
2. Contained in the Specifications
Guide is a list of recommended wines for tasting and you may use this as a guideline for selecting wines to notate and submit.
3. We suggest that a portfolio should contain 10-15 tasting notes. Due to time constraints we will not be able to offer feedback on more then 15 notes.
4. We also suggest that among the notes you submit you include 3 or 4 notes for wines tasted blind.
5. Please put your name on the Portfolio when submitting.
6. Practice Tasting Sheets can be found in the Candidate Assessment
Guide on page 30-35. And while any format is acceptable it is best to use one that closely resembles the exam.
