Call for Submissions for Les Dames d'Escoffier Scholarship
Les Dames d’Escoffier is an international organization of professional women in the food, wine and hospitality industries dedicated to supporting and promoting the understanding, appreciation and knowledge of food and wine disciplines. Through its annual scholarship program, Les Dames d’Escoffier-New York supports the area’s top female students in these fields. In 2011, the organization awarded $50,000 of scholarship funds to 20 accomplished students.

2011 WSET® Diploma Graduates
The International Wine Center is proud of the 29 students who earned the Wine & Spirit Education Trust® Diploma in 2011. The Diploma program typically takes two years to finish and requires tests, papers and blind tastings on the subjects of still wine, fortified wine, sparkling wine and spirits, the business of wine and viticulture and vinification. Sean Razee
Sean Razee began his wine studies while living in Southern California, making frequent visits to Santa Barbara and the Napa Valley. After finishing his bachelor of science in food science, he moved to the mountains of Colorado and worked as a beverage director from 2002 to 2010, developing and managing wine and spirits programs for The Ritz-Carlton and Wolfgang Puck. Anncherie Saludo, a server at L’Artusi restaurant and a student in the masters of public health program at Hunter, was awarded the $2,000 Niki Singer Memorial Scholarship at the International Wine Center’s Diploma dinner in December. Read more.

WSET® Diploma Online

Now, for the first time, if you cannot come to classes in NYC, you can study for the WSET Diploma via an online program that WSET runs. You register with International Wine Center as an online student, participate in WSET’s online program, and take your exams in NYC. Besides receiving online instruction and feedback, you also have the benefit of two days of in-class tasting and instruction at International Wine Center.
